This four-hour course meets the training requirements of the Department of Justice with regard to telecommunicator performance in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Instruction covers topics such as deaf culture, communication style, and legal requirements of ADA as it pertains to emergency communications and access. Identifying and processing calls from TTY callers is extensively covered.
